Setup guide for Logo QuizVisuella

Achievements

Achievements reward players for reaching specific milestones — solving their first logo, guessing 100 in total, finishing a level without hints, and so on. When a player hits a milestone, Play Games (Android) or Game Center (iOS) shows a native pop-up and adds the achievement to their profile.

The 8 built-in achievements

The app comes with 8 pre-built achievement types already wired into the game. You pick which ones you want to enable and create matching entries for them on Google Play and the App Store. Any achievement you don't add here is silently skipped — you can start with just two or three and add more later.

AchievementUnlocked when…
First GuessThe player solves their first logo.
10 GuessesThe player has guessed 10 logos in total.
50 GuessesThe player has guessed 50 logos in total.
100 GuessesThe player has guessed 100 logos in total.
All Logos GuessedThe player has guessed every logo in the app.
First Level CompleteThe player finishes their first level.
Guessed Without HintsThe player makes a correct guess without using any hint.
Shared a LogoThe player shares a logo from the game.

Before you start

Make sure you've already completed the Play Games page — connecting your app to Google Play Games Services (Android) and enabling Game Center (iOS). Achievements won't work without those.

Step 1 — Create the achievements on Google Play

For each achievement type you want to include:

  1. Open the Google Play Console and select your app.
  2. Go to Grow users → Play Games Services → Configuration → Achievements.
  3. Click Create achievement.
  4. Fill in:
    • Name — the achievement's name (e.g. "First Guess").
    • Description — a short description shown on the player's profile.
    • Icon — a 512×512 unlocked-state icon.
    • Type — Standard (single-shot, unlocks in one go).
  5. Save and mark the achievement as Published.
  6. Copy the achievement's ID — it starts with CgkI followed by more characters. Keep it handy.

Step 2 — Create the same achievements on App Store Connect

For each achievement type:

  1. Open App Store Connect and select your app.
  2. Go to Services → Game Center → Achievements.
  3. Click + to add a new achievement.
  4. Fill in:
    • Achievement reference name / ID — a unique identifier like com.yourcompany.logoquiz.first_guess. This is what you'll paste into the Setup Page.
    • Point value — a whole number (Game Center caps the total across all achievements at 1000 points, so budget accordingly).
    • Hidden — keep unchecked, unless you want the achievement to only appear after being unlocked.
    • Add a localised display name and description (at minimum, English).
    • Upload a 512×512 icon.
  5. Save.

Step 3 — Add them to the Setup Page

Open the Setup Page in your browser and go to the Achievements section. Turn on Enable Achievements at the top.

For each achievement you want to enable:

  1. Click + Add achievement.
  2. Pick the achievement type from the dropdown (e.g. "First Guess").
  3. Fill in the fields:
    • Display title — an internal label for your reference. Players don't see this — they see the title you configured on the store side.
    • Play Games achievement ID (Android) — the ID from Step 1 (starts with CgkI). Leave blank if you're only doing iOS.
    • Game Center achievement ID (iOS) — the reference name / ID from Step 2 (e.g. com.yourcompany.logoquiz.first_guess). Leave blank if you're only doing Android.
  4. Repeat for each achievement you want to enable.

You can click Remove on any card to take an achievement out of the list.

You don't have to enable all 8 — partial coverage is fine. For example, you can start with just First Guess, 10 Guesses, and 100 Guesses, then add the others in a future update.

Step 4 — Run sync

As with every other setup step, run the sync command in your terminal:

bash
make sync

What happens once it's enabled

  • The Achievements button appears on the home screen.
  • The moment a player triggers one of the milestones above, the app automatically unlocks the matching achievement.
  • Play Games / Game Center shows a native pop-up and adds it to the player's profile.

Testing

Achievements only fire on signed test builds — running the app in debug mode from your machine will silently queue unlock calls without doing anything.

  • Android — install the app from an Internal testing track via Play Console with a tester account.
  • iOS — install from TestFlight with the device signed into iCloud and Game Center.

Common problems

  • "Achievement never unlocks" — the achievement isn't set to Published in the Play Console, or the ID on the Setup Page doesn't match the one in the store console.
  • "Works on Android but not iOS" — you didn't fill in the Game Center ID on the Setup Page for that achievement, or the achievement isn't set to "live" in App Store Connect.
  • "Testing in debug — nothing happens" — expected. Only signed test-track builds trigger unlocks. Push the build to Internal testing / TestFlight and try there.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

  • Where do I get the latest version of the app?
On your CodeCanyon Downloads page, signed in with the account you bought the app with. Updates are free for life — see the Upgrade Code page for the safe way to move to a new version.
  • Do I need a Mac to publish on the App Store?
Yes. Building an iOS `.ipa` file requires Xcode, which only runs on macOS. Android builds work on any operating system.
  • Why don't in-app purchases work when I install the APK on my phone?
In-app purchases, Play Games and other Google Play services only unlock when the build is uploaded to a Play Console track (Internal testing is the fastest) and installed via the Play Store on a device signed in as a tester.
  • Do you provide the source code?
Yes — every CodeCanyon purchase includes the full Flutter source code plus all assets, so you can customise anything.
  • Can I use the same license for two different apps?
No. Envato's Regular License covers a single end product. If you want to publish a second app based on the same template, buy a second license on CodeCanyon.
  • How long does store review take?
Google Play: a few days for the very first submission, then a few hours to a day for updates. Apple App Store: usually 24–48 hours per submission.
